Are you looking for FREE photo editing?
Then keep reading to find out how to get it now!
Ok, I am fully aware that I have spoken here at length many times in the space about PicMonkey (might even have a slight crush on this online editing program), but must admit I am always on the lookout for new photo editing software online, as I do a ton of image editing and creating with blogging and designing.
Recently, I was contacted by Fotor, which is a cross platform online photo editor. It’s fun and multifunctional.
And Fotor Photo Editing Is FREE for A Limited Time…
Well, I was asked to review the program and share with all my readers my thoughts.
I love doing reviews, especially where I can play with already created images and being able to make new creations, as well.
*A side note: This is the sponsored review that I spoke of here on how to deal with issues when they come up with companies and sponsored posts.
Sadly, the issues with my contact with Fotor were never resolved, but I did love the actual program and concept behind it and wanted to still share what I found while playing with their software. I mean why shouldn’t my readers benefit from this even if this is no longer a sponsored post.
Let’s face it, the reason I created this space here for design work is because it is truly enjoyable and fun to me, too, as well as to help others, too.*
Again for now Fotor is essentially FREE of charge.
This fall, I am being told they will add membership packages. Membership pricing will allow all access to tons of premium features, designs, stickers, fonts and more.
But for now, once again it is FREE!
Signing up is EASY and takes literally seconds.
You can even sign up even from your Facebook account (therefore not having to create a new account).
I am not joking, I pretty much had an account up and running in lightening speed indeed using my Facebook account.
Also, you can use Fotor on your personal computer and/or on your mobile devices, such as an iPad or any Android based device, too. This is a great addition to the list of apps for bloggers that I shared here.
Once it was set up, it essentially reminded me of most other photo editing programs, I have used. And yet it was so very easy to navigate.
Take a look at this banner image. I created it from the stock Fotor Logo to help for advertising purposes in about 10 minutes. Mind you it was my first time and searching all options to make it looks the most aesthetically pleasing. So, I played a bit longer, because I was having fun.
By the way, I am a huge fan of trying new fonts when editing and here this was no exception. The words, “Click for Photo Editing” in the above image, I used one of the premium fonts available in Fotor. I, also, was able to match the Fotor font color to a simple border color using the color matching tool.
Don’t get me wrong, these can be done in other editing programs. However I think that it is FREE right now is a huge bonus and one of the reasons I am so very excited to mention it here for my readers that aren’t familiar with Fotor.
But wait there is MORE!!!
There is one feature on Fotor that I am truly impressed with and have not seen available elsewhere. This feature allows those on different social medias to create their own COVER photos for six different social media cover photos. Simply upload a previously existing image from your device. Then, Fotor will size the cover image perfectly. Save it and voila you have your own cover photo!
Seriously, I know how hard this is if you aren’t familiar with Photoshop to get the sizing just right. I also have had may ask this question to me time and again here. So, happy to have an easier answer now.
So, if you are looking to make/size your own Facebook cover photo from a pre-existing photo/image this is absolutely the place to do it.
I actually did it for myself to show you and take a look at my newly created J9 Designs Facebook Cover image:
And mind you this was just me playing with the software (done in under 5 minutes using my pre-existing logo). By the way, Fotor also allow for editing and creating cover photos also for Twitter, Google+, YouTube, LinkedIn and About.me.
How could you go wrong, when the hard work is done for you by Fotor?
All you have to do is upload the image and Fotor resizes it perfectly to fit the cover photo for each of these six social media platforms.

I don’t like how they treated you, but this product sounds like something I could really use. Thanks for sharing your review!
J9 Designs says
Jen, trust me I wasn’t thrilled with the treatment as far as the sponsored opportunity, but I did try the product out and found some reasons that I still indeed wanted to share and hoping that what I did find will help you and others.

And this is just one reason why I love you so much… because although there was no ‘incentive’ to share this, you did anyway.
You’re a light… your trail always leaves a light.
Sounds like a great new option for us all, btw!

Aww, I love you too and you know you are totally a light. I really was still happy to share though even if the company contact wasn’t my ideal to work with the program itself, I really felt was worthy of sharing in my little space. Just hope you and others can use and benefit from it!! Love you 🙂

Oh!! I really like that it automatically sizes for social media! I have trouble remembering the right sizes! Off to check it out now!!

I know I am also terrible at remembering and had the sizes saved in a file to refer back to, but this totally does indeed do it for you and takes the guessing away! 😉
Tenns @ New Mama Diaries says
I tried Fotor a while back, and enjoyed some of the features, but found it overall not very user friendly. I really liked that I could use fonts that are on my system, and…that was pretty much it. Maybe things have changed since then, as I’m sure they have. I’ll have to check out the new features, especially while they’re free! Thanks so much for sharing this Janine at Creative Style! 🙂

Thanks Tenns for sharing that with me. I honestly didn’t use this photo editing software before so not sure what it may have been like when you used it, but I hope you do give a try at least while it is still free! 🙂
