Pinning and Pinterest, itself are major lifelines for those who write, blog and share on the internet, as well as social media nowadays as shared here.
A week ago, I shared a great social media calendar and scheduling tool called CoSchedule here last week.
All seemed like it would be perfect for those blog post planning and social media sharing, too.
And yet, the proverbial ink wasn’t dry on my article, when I got an e-mail detailing all sorts of Pinterest sharing issues with CoSchedule from Garrett Moon, co-founder of CoSchedule.
Take a look at the screenshot of this letter:
In a nutshell, Pinterest scheduling after September 29th, will no longer get sent through the CoSchedule plugin!
Enter the Great Pin Scheduling Caper!!
So, what can be done??
Essentially right after, I got this e-mail, another e-mail came through from Melissa at Tailwind:
This isn’t open to all just yet, but you can get a special invite from Tailwind.
However, this isn’t open just yet, but I indeed did sign up and am hoping that it will be up and running before the September 29th deadline from CoSchedule.
I will definitely keep you posted in this space, plus I am also looking into Ahalogy, too.
So, stay tuned for more on this coming soon – promise!
Until then, Happy Pin Scheduling!!
Oh jeez. I need to get better about scheduling my stuff in general.
Robin, I am trying and this plugin was truly a huge help to that.
Stay away from Ahalogy. In order to get access, they make you license your entire content library to them for no compensation. This allows brands to republish your content, stealing your traffic without giving you credit. It’s not worth it.
Thanks for sharing that here, Janet and admit I don’t know too much yet about Ahalogy and was going to look into it better for my readers and myself, but you now have me rethinking it a bit. So, I appreciate any info that is shared here to help us all out.
I received the same notice, but since I was one of the many that was having issues with Pinterest on Co-schedule I wasn’t surprised. I have been using Ahalogy but have been underwhelmed here too. Looking forward to trying our Tailwind. Thanks for the great tip!
Blessings,
Shari

Happy to share Shari and I know many others use Ahalogy, but admit that is one thing I haven’t had as much time to look into but still on the fence, but may just see if I can understand it at the very least, but thought this might be a good option for us in the very least.
Janine, THANK YOU so much for keeping us apprised of the social media scheduling and working so hard for a solution. This is so important to bloggers; we appreciate what you are doing on our behalf. Carrie, A Mother’s Shadow

Absolutely my pleasure and will definitely keep you up to date as I find our more now, Carrie 🙂
Janine,
My number one place I get my hits by FAR come from Pinterest. I the last several months I have spent less time on Pinterest and trying to grow my other media. It it truly a great source for hits for bloggers. Anyway, I have used Ahalogy since the beginning of this year. You have to be approved for Ahalogy. I love scheduling my post and other bloggers post. You can only schedule blogger’s post who use Ahalogy. I like it, but really have not had much time to totally learn everything it can help me with. I need to find other bloggers who use Ahalogy to help promote their posts. I would love to take time and do this soon.
Since Pinterest is such a big source for me, I am going to definitely check out Tailwind NOW.
Blessings,
Diane Roark

Diane, I know Pinterest is truly a great source of traffic for me here, too and I kept hearing about Ahalogy, but have been remiss into looking into it to be honest, but want to try when I get more time to at the very least find out more now. Also very interested and excited now for Tailwind – just so happy I could share and hope we all can benefit from this app now 🙂
Stopping by from Wonderful Wednesday. I just signed up! Thanks for sharing!

Aww, so happy to see you here and glad you could sign up for this, too!! 🙂
This is good to know! I have been hearing great things about Coschedule, but what a bummer you won’t be able to schedule Pins! I will look into your suggestions, thanks Janine!

Happy to help, Jen and I will say CoSchedule is a wonderful tool, but hoping this will be a viable solution for Pin sharing now though.
I need to check this out because I haven’t scheduled my social media, as of yet! I will look into this!

Glad you can look into this Elizabeth 🙂
Thanks for sharing! I kind of wish CoSchedule would have told us about this themselves. I’m a big fan of their tool, but would have become a bigger fan had they pointed us toward an easy replacement. Signing up now…hope to get in to try it soon!
Happy I could share and CoSchedule did let us know, but just unfortunate that they are seemingly discontinuing pin sharing. Happy you are signing up though for this 🙂
I typically use Hootsuite to do my social media scheduling, but I’ll have to check CoSchedule out. I’ve vaguely heard about them, but have yet to take the time to see what they actually offer. Thanks so much for sharing at Creative Style! 🙂

Happy to share. And believe it or not never tried Hootsuite here, but have heard a ton about it though.
I bet you bloggers everywhere are thankful that you shared these tips! I am so sporadic with my blogging these days. I tried to use Hootsuite once and that turned into a disaster. Perhaps something like this would be helpful. Thanks, Janine!
