The ball has dropped…
Still many take blogging breaks for the last week of the year, myself included with my blog.
But as the new year has indeed sprung, I am seeing more and more blogs now list their resolutions or goals for the upcoming year, as well as new blogs crop up as a New Year’s resolution, as well. This is just one of many reasons why new blogs can and will be started, too.
See some of the biggest and best ideas can hatched in January for blogs, but many fall by the wayside as the months go on.
Yet, each year most not just bloggers come up with ways to revamp themselves, but bloggers come up with ways to not only do this personally, but for their blogs, as well. Many of these adjustments might find the average blogger needing a bit of outside help to do so.
That is where J9 Designs can come into play for such times.
So what are some ways to breath new life into your blog for the new year in which I can help you?
Here are the top ways to make your blog friendly for the new year this with my help:
1. Get a blog redesign (header, logo, sidebars and more):
Many would like a new fresh look to start the year off right. I am already filling up my calendar with those who want to hire me for all sorts of updates, including blog redesigns. The new year is definitely the perfect time to get a facelift for your blog and can clearly update a theme with or without a new logo design, too. This is clearly one of my favorite jobs to take on as I love seeing a blog get transformed and again truly the perfect way to start the year off right.
2. Hire a Virtual Assistant (VA):
You might have found that last year you were truly overwhelmed with keeping up with even the smallest of jobs on your blog. If you find you may need help, I truly would love to help get you more grounded and well balanced in the new year from being able to maintain your site (plugins, sidebars and more) or even help grow your subscriptions or social media presence for the year.
3. Install an editorial calendar to help plan better:
I can totally help you set up a better schedule and calendar for blogging with installing an editorial calendar plugin such as Co-Schedule, which also would help pre-schedule much of your social media touts, too. This is truly something so crucial to help bloggers maintain a schedule and a bit of balance, too.
4. Shake it up and transfer your blog:
Maybe you have been dreaming of self-hosting your site. Now has never been a a better time to transfer your blog from free platforms such as WordPress.com or Blogger to your very own self-hosted WordPress site. I am still offering FREE hosting for a year with most self hosted WordPress transfers and would be more then happy to help with this, too.
Or still yet, maybe you are already self-hosted and just not happy with your hosting company or looking for a different hosting company that may offer you more for your money. Again, I can offer FREE hosting with Web Hosting Hub for the year and transfer you for a minimal charge.
5. Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff:
It is a New Year and like I said definitely time for a few changes even if they are minor and not as grand or large as a redesign. So, quite possibly you might want to change your sidebar, add new buttons or take ones down or even add a new menu page. I can help with any and all small blog changes. So, please feel free to reach out to me and would be more then happy to try my best to help with this, as well, especially if you are lacking or the time or resources to indeed make these types of changes.
Definitely, would be very happy to help you with any of the above or more this upcoming year.

It’s always good to be looking out for a way to improve. I did a “tiny” redesign on my blog… I could do more. This year I’m trying to get my arms around a YouTube channel so I can offer more face-to-face tips.

I love that you did do some tiny improvements to your blog. A tiny bit truly does go a long way and that is what many don’t understand, you don’t always have to do a complete overall, but even the smallest of changes to make a huge difference sometimes. Thanks Seana for weighing in 🙂
Great advice!

Janine,
You always have great ideas for helping our blogs grow. I know some many people have great plans for their blogs including me but unless we take the action and have a plan we may not ever get our plans accomplished.
I hope you are doing better and no one else is sick.
Blessings and have a great week,
Diane Roark
Again thanks so much Diane. I am thankfully doing much better here and I know truly sometimes the best laid plans, but still.
I thought I write you here for fun. I love your ideas and being a step above with all the competition is very important for success. I am still thinking about what I want to feature on my blog to get more traffic, Once the ebook is ready to roll it will be a focal point. I will be contacting you soon to go to work for me and my blog.
Carol, I adore you and your comment made me smile more then you know. And you know I look forward to helping you once again when you are indeed ready. Happy New Year my friend!! 🙂
I did a little update to my site today actually. Nothing major, but I cleaned it up a little and changed my photo.
Yay for little changes and now I am going to head over to check it out 😉
When I have saved enough, I’d run to you for a redesign! 🙂
