Network, Network, Network – Writing Success with SITS Girls

June 23, 2014 by J9 Designs Filed Under: BLOG, Blog Advice

Network, Network, Network!

This one word is truly a small one, but oh so important and packs a mean punch as far as blogging is concerned.

There are many writing/blogging affiliations on the internet to help those who are just starting out find others to connect with.

When I first started to write on Confessions of A Mommyaholic, I did research and found that joining these types of groups do help bring fresh new readers, as well as fresh, new opportunities to you.

So, read on if you are a newbie writer/blogger or even if you are not new to the writing world, but want to branch out and indeed connect with other writers like yourself.

Network, Network, Network - SITS Community Lead

First and foremost, I am lucky to belong to a few different Facebook groups alone that have afforded me making some wonderful, personal connection with other bloggers and writers, alike, too.

I don’t want to name Facebook group names, but if you do have any interest, please feel free to connect me and will try to share privately these groups (if I can), as these groups (I belong to a few) do contain some truly wonderful bloggers/writers. For the most part, everyone is truly very supportive and helpful in the groups I am a member in (any that haven’t been or just wasn’t the right fit for me, I have left or unjoined). and most in these groups are also up for connecting with other writers, too.

SITS Girls

Another group that I belong to is SITS (which has over 75,000 blogging members), is an online group, where a they put it perfectly, “Women Get Social”. I visit this group everyday on Facebook (see Facebook groups are awesome!), as well as on Instagram, Twitter and more.  With SITS, I honestly love the aspect that one writer/blogger gets featured per day. I have tried my best in the past to connect with The Blogger of the Day, whether they are a blogger I already know or a potential new connection. You never know, but I truly enjoy getting familiar with more bloggers daily and this is a great way to do that. I was the SITS Blogger of the Day over a year ago here and also just got to do a redux here recently, too.

This affiliation has afforded me an amazing opportunity to become a SITS Girl Community Lead, where I am one of the friendly faces who can help answer questions, chat about blogging and make all just generally feel at home.

I also am able to write at least one post per month for The SITS Girls site on topics that I am passionate about, like blogging, designing and so much more like this article here if you want to start your very own blog with some tips and advice from yours truly.

SITS Community Lead

I have to admit SITS is probably one of my favorite blogging groups that I do indeed belong to, but I do belong to a few others, which have given me other opportunities, as a blogger and writer.

Honestly, I couldn’t be more excited to to be a SITS Girl Community Lead.

And like I said, Network, Network, Network – It totally does pay off and happy to be able to prove with this venture that has afforded me this chance with these wonderful, amazing ladies and cannot tell you how many friends I have indeed made through SITS, as well.

    Janine,

I totally agree with NEWWORKING. It is so important. I try to do it all by myself for 2 years before learning my lesson. I am a slow learner. Their are truly lots of ways to network. I am going to half to get more involved in SITS girls. I need to push it up higher on my list.

Have a great day and thanks for the reminder and tips.
    Blessings,
    Diane Roark

The SITS Girls Community, is my favorite community! I love connecting with SO many awesome women via SITSSharefest. It’s been quite a few weeks since I’ve been able to attend, but I do enjoy those chats. I’m excited to attend Bloggy Boot Camp this fall 🙂 I know I’ll learn a ton there.
Congrats on your community lead position!
