Easy Watermark Plugin for WordPress

July 10, 2013 by J9 Designs Filed Under: BLOG, Blog Advice

When I first started to blog, I always saw images on other bloggers posts with their logo included on the graphic. Β I thought how ingenious and a great way to help with the issues of people stealing and copying images.

But how can one do this easily?

Back in the day, when I first started I was truly wet behind the ears and had no clue how to even go about doing this. Β For awhile, I even added the logo or watermark manually myself, but this can become quite cumbersome and truly annoying.

Then, I found a wonderful plugin that does the watermarking all on its own. Β It is called Easy Watermark and will allow you to customize the watermark right down to the text and size you want.

Easy Watermark Plug-In

Sit back now while I take you through the process of how to install, activate and setup this plug-in with this quick, easy photo tutorial of Easy Watermark.

So am I understanding this correctly…After I install the plugin, any pictures I upload to my media folder will have my watermark on it?

I really need to switch to wordpress :o) Just thinking about it though makes my head hurt. Great post Janine! I think watermarks are so important. There are some crazy people out there just looking to steal pictures and take credit for other's work.

You I love WordPress for the Plugins big-time, but still love Blogger too from a designer's perspective. So believe me I vacillate on this daily all the time. And I know what you mean about people trying to steal our hard earned work with the pictures and graphic images we put our heart and soul into. There is also a Copyright Plugin that I was going to share at some point here, which protects one's photos even more by not allowing viewers to right click and copy the images you have on your blog. The only downfall on this one is that you have to pay extra to have full access, but for the limited it does it still is better then nothing. And thank you again for your kindness to me!! πŸ™‚ xoxo!!

One question though- my watermark is not on the edge- how do I move it down and over a bit?

Glad it does and you will need to play with the settings of this plugin to accomplish that.
